The remodel of St. Charles Hall unites administrative departments in new location.
The remodel of the historical St. Charles Hall by CWG Architects and Dick Anderson Construction was completed the end of August 2014.
“Standing prominently at the heart of campus, St. Charles Hall serves as both the centerpiece and foundation of Carroll College,” said Carroll College President, Tom Evans. “The stunning transformation that has taken place on the first floor through our collaboration with CWG Architects and Dick Anderson Construction is very befitting of a place with such historical significance to Carroll College.”
The first floor was remodeled to emulate the president’s office with wood paneling and vaulted ceilings accompanied by chandeliers. This remodel includes the transformation of dorm rooms into faculty offices, the addition of a formal conference room, bathrooms, new finishes and furnishings by CWG Architects’ interior designer, Elisa Poole.
“As a Helena native, I feel so honored to have been a part of renovating such a notable Helena landmark as St. Charles Hall,” said Elisa Poole. “The staff members and administration of Carroll College, as well as the crew at Dick Anderson Construction were wonderful to work with and played a major role in making this project such a success. This was a true collaboration among all parties working toward the common goal of creating a beautiful and functional administrative floor while honoring the building’s history and striking architecture.”
CWG staff involved in the project includes President Tony Perpignano, Project Manager/Senior Draftsperson, Jennifer Charles, and Architect in Training, Colin Pullman. Construction Project Manager, Nick Lende, and Project Superintendent, Dennis Ford, from Dick Anderson Construction completes the main project team.
