Leah Davis

Leah Davis

Architect in Training

Outdoors Fanatic, Dark Roast Coffee Addict, Chevy Promoter, Fitness Advocate

Leah graduated from the Architecture Program at Montana State University in May of 2021. She received the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences Foundation scholarship for all four years of her college career and graduated with a Business Entrepreneurship minor.  One of her favorite things about the architecture field is the multiple opportunities that design and construction present. Her favorite part of a project is watching it be built into reality. Leah is a Helena native and joined CWG to gain some hands-on experience and get back to her roots. In her free time, she can be found in the outdoors fishing, hunting, camping, boating, or flying (she is a licensed private pilot). Leah’s looking forward to working with CWG in building a better Montana because she loves this state and will always call it home.

Q & A with Leah Davis

What made you interested in architecture?
I fell in love with design concepts and building when I was younger doing woodworking and building our house and cabin. I continued to carry out my creative skills in other hobbies and became interested in conceptual math and science like calculus and physics. I then discovered architecture as a perfect career field for my creative side and my love for math and building things.
Where do you get your design inspiration?
Zaha Hadid, Jeanne Gange for their eccentric, outgoing design and inspiring strong successful females in the field. In addition to this, the appreciation and freedom I feel in the great outdoors, and the many books I read a year that inspire me constantly to approach my design like pages of a book. All design has a story.
Biggest challenge of your job?
The biggest challenge in this field for me is trying to keep a project within the budget.
What do you do in your spare time?
Fishing, hunting, camping, traveling the world, flying airplanes, and spending quality time with family and friends.
One thing most people don’t know about you.
Most people don’t know that I have been to 6 different countries all on my own!
