Q & A with Meagan Miller

What made you interested in interior design?

My dad would always bring home blueprints and architectural drawings. He worked in HVAC and I was always so fascinated by these drawings. Since I was a child I would sketch and doodle and was always interested in art and artists. The combination of the two aspects helped in my decision to pursue design.

Favorite part of your job?

CWG Charettes and collaborations. It is fun to see what other people have in their minds. It is fascinating seeing how many different ideas can be created in one office.

What’s the biggest misconception people have about your position?

That I am a decorator. I can do this; however, designers oversee the design and implementation of an interior design plan. I meet with homeowners and clients to discuss important details such as the budget and goal for the space.

What do you do in your spare time?

Spend time with my family, Hike, Kayak, Photography, Sketch, Paint, Collect Old Book, Press flowers and plants, Fish, Drive to new locations in Montana, Garden, Bake, Star Gaze, Research, Read, Listen to Music and Watch documentaries.

One thing most people don’t know about you?

I am obsessed with space, astronomy, and astrology. I still dream of going to space.
