Scott brings over 17 years of experience in a wide range of commercial, education, retail, and healthcare projects. A graduate of Montana State University and a U.S. Air Force Veteran, Scott has worked on projects primarily across Montana, Idaho, Colorado, and Washington. Scott brings a strong foundation of leadership, design, and management skills to CWG. He loves working with clients and consultants, building lasting relationships and mentoring staff.

Outside the office, Scott enjoys fishing “with questionable levels of success,” pretending the gym is fun, and exploring Montana with his wife. He brings a sense of humor to just about everything he does, whether it’s navigating a design challenge or debating the best WW2 movie. Scott is a true connoisseur of the finer things in life, such as Suds Hut burgers, Super 1 sheet cake, quoting 80s movies, and all things winter (“the colder the better”).

We are excited to have Scott and board, and look forward to his energy, expertise, and leadership he brings to the team and to our community.

Q & A with Scott Deitle

Favorite part of your job?

Acting like a clown in front of people, then pointing to a building and proudly stating, “I did that.”

What do you do in your spare time?

I don’t really have a set “hobby” in my free time because we’re mired in building our house. Once that’s done, I plan to take a lot of naps. I also lift weights, run (or walk), play video games, fish, drive too fast on dirt roads, grow plants, buy stuff on Amazon, and go to local events.

What makes working at CWG unique?

An incredible mix of talented and fun people to work with, and an immense history of great projects that we all can recognize as we move through this city.

Where do you get your design inspiration?

My design inspiration is a collection of styles gathered over years of work: modern, traditional, historic, and everything in between. I keep them all in rotation, never letting one dominate for too long, because each project deserves its own recipe instead of the same old menu.

Top 3 things to have if stranded on an island?

Only the finest in survival gear: air conditioning, Boat-Building on a Tropical Island for Dummies, and a machine that turns water into Gatorade.
